ISEAL COC Launch Webinar Replay
SCS Standards and Assurance Systems was honored to contribute to the revision of the ISEAL Chain of Custody Models and Definitions Guidance. Along with fifteen other organizations, SCS Standards joined the ISEAL Chain of Custody working group as technical expert. The Guidance provides an overview of different chain of custody models, introduces a new “controlled mass balance” model, and illustrates, through accessible diagrams and figures, the complexity of chain of custody models.
The ISEAL Chain of Custody Models and Definitions Guidance was introduced by ISEAL during a launch webinar featuring a panel discussion with our Executive Director Victoria Norman, Silvana Paniagua of SustainCERT and Terry Campbell of the Forest Stewardship Council. In their discussion, the panel explained why CoC is essential for credible sustainability claims and the value of a shared language across systems and sector.
The webinar also provides an overview of the revision process and what has changed since the first version of this document was published in 2016, and explores how the revised guidance supports data transfer in real-world supply chains.
