Craft Lab Grown Diamonds to Offer Certified Sustainability Rated Diamonds

SCS-007 Certified Diamonds from Dholakia Technologies to be Distributed by Craft

Original Publication: SCS Global Services

LAS VEGAS,

SCS Global Services announced today that laboratory grown diamonds from Dholakia Technologies have been recognized under the SCS-007 Certification Standard for Sustainability Rated Diamonds, and will be sold directly by Craft Lab Grown Diamonds, a division of Hari Krishna (HK) Designs. The certification encompasses Dholakia’s rough, cut, and polished diamonds.

Every certified diamond distributed by Craft will be accompanied by a “Certificate of Sustainability,” providing transparency to the consumer by describing the specific sustainability achievements. The sustainability assessment covered five pillars of sustainability: origin assurance, ethical stewardship, climate neutrality, sustainable production practices and strategic sustainability investments.

“Craft Lab Grown Diamonds has always strived to be best in class,” said Jeffrey Cohen, President of Sales for Craft Lab Grown Diamonds. “After careful consideration we identified the SCS-007 Certification for Sustainability as the most stringent certification in the industry and the only one that can guarantee origin of stones with greater than 99% accuracy. We have worked very hard to build a company with the highest level of ethics, so this certification represents a very proud moment for our organization as independent validation of these efforts.”

The standard was developed under an international, multi-stakeholder process managed by non-profit SCS Standards Development, with the involvement of diamond producers, retailers, technology experts, environmental and social responsibility civil society representatives and academia. Certification expert SCS Global Services conducted the independent third-party assessment of Dholakia Technologies, and in addition, verified that Craft Lab Grown Diamonds only sells certified lab grown stones from Dholakia.

“Meeting the requirements of the SCS 007 standard is a real accomplishment, given the breadth of requirements that must be met,” said Stanley Mathuram, SCS Global Services Executive Vice President. “The certification of diamonds from Dholakia Technologies, and the accreditation of Craft Lab Grown Diamonds in bringing these diamonds to market, enable consumers to enjoy the timeless beauty of the diamonds while feeling secure about the origin of each diamond, and reassured that every effort is being made to meet the highest principles of social and environmental responsibility.”
