SCS Standards Releases Biobased Content Standard for Public Review

SCS Standards is pleased to announce that a newly developed certification standard for Biobased Content is now available for public review.

The Certification Standard for Biobased Content (SCS-114) has been developed to ensure that biobased content is traceable back to an eligible source of biomass via a chain of certified entities in certified products, e.g., bioplastic packaging derived from soybean oil. The standard allows for biobased content derived from mass balance allocation or from physical segregation supply chains.

The public is welcome to comment on the new standard until February 3, 2023. To submit comments, please contact us or visit www.scsstandards.org/standards/certification-standard-biobased-content.
