SCS Standards Releases Draft of SCS-007 Final Standard for Public Review

SCS Standards is pleased to announce that a final version 1.0 of the SCS-007-1 Certification Standard for Sustainability Rated Diamonds is now available for public review.  

The Standard was first introduced in 2020 under “trial use” status. It has been tested in the field by dozens of industry stakeholders since resulting in this refined version. Final Version 1.0 of the standard will include: 

  • Tiered indicators to incentivize continuous improvement 
  • Revisions to melee requirements 
  • Updates to criteria related to origin traceability and sustainable production  
  • Updates to climate related criteria  
  • Format changes for greater clarity 

The public is welcome to comment on the final version 1.0 of the standard until January 30, 2024. To submit comments, please reach out to [email protected].
