Certification Standard for Rigid Core Vinyl Flooring

This standard allows manufacturers of rigid core vinyl flooring to give their customers the highest level of confidence about he safety of rigid core vinyl flooring for their homes through certification by demonstrating that their products meet voluntary and regulatory building requirements for indoor air quality, rigidity, durability and performance, and low heavy metals and ortho-phthalates content.

Starting November 1, 2025, organizations seeking to get certified to SCS-111 will be audited against V2.0. Existing certificate holders seeking to recertify can choose to recertify starting November 1, 2025, and will be required to transition to the new version starting June 1, 2026.
