Josie Talbert

Standards Associate II

Josie serves as Standards Associate II at SCS Standards. She brings expertise in project management and branches out from years focused on sustainable agriculture, to develop and revise both SCS and proprietary standards and verification programs across a variety of topic areas, from recycling to nutrition. 

Before joining SCS Standards in 2024, Josie spent five years at Sustainable Food Group managing multiple certification schemes, supporting clients in setting and achieving sustainability goals, developing and administering sustainable sourcing programs, and verifying compliance with sustainability targets. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, where she began her career in sustainability, working on sustainable sourcing initiatives, urban agriculture, carbon emissions reporting, and waste management.
